Who We Are

Our Mission Statement

We at the Wittenberg Lutheran Center have heard the gracious call of Christ. As a campus ministry we are committed to proclaiming the Good News of Jesus’ saving work to students, faculty, and staff throughout the universities/colleges located in the Bloomington/Normal area.

"I am not ashamed of the gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes: first for the Jew, then for the Gentile." (Romans 1:16)

In our ministry, we strive to:
• Provide weekly Sunday Morning Divine Services throughout the school year.
• Offer the Lord’s Supper every Sunday.
• Recognize visitors and newcomers and welcome them into our midst.
• Preach and teach God’s Word so that it becomes relevant to the life of the college student.
• Provide Bible Studies for the students that will edify their faith in Jesus’ saving work for them.
• Bring awareness of Wittenberg’s ministry through the use of various correspondences.
• Have an active Chapel Council that works to establish a friendly and receptive place for all to gather.
• Meet new friends, enjoy fellowship, and to grow spiritually in the Savior Jesus Christ.

"Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."" (Matthew 28:19-20)
